About Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga poses are the same as those used in a Vinyasa class but are performed in a gentler way.

The big difference is the pace of movement between poses. In a Hatha yoga class, you’ll move your body more slowly and deliberately, while focusing on breathing and relaxation.

The benefits of Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is great for both body and mind and places more emphasis on joint mobility, controlled breathing and good posture.

Other Hatha yoga benefits include:

  • Stress reduction
  • Deep relaxation
  • Greater flexibility in muscles and joints
  • Improved core strength
  • Better balance

Because Hatha yoga is practised at a slower pace, it’s great for all ages and levels.
